Founded in 1997, Lead Dog Meeting & Event Management is directed by founder Mary Susan Ryan Milbourne and partner Carmel Rose Caporale, CMP.

Mary Susan and Carmel Rose, along with the Lead Dog team, offer decades of meeting and event management experience. Lead Dog has created memorable meetings and “wow” moments for a wide variety of clients spanning many different industries.

With a “never-say-never” attitude, Lead Dog delivers cost-effective meetings and spectacular events. We have produced intimate board of director meetings in unique environments, non-profit galas and fundraising events as well as large-scale corporate meetings.

Recognized by our clients for our ability to unleash the potential of every meeting & event, Lead Dog strives to develop long-term relationships with each client realizing the value of knowledge earned through years of experience.

Lead Dog Meeting & Event Management is a Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). In addition, the firm maintains membership in other key industry groups including Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PCVB).

Mary Susan R. Milbourne, CEO
Mary Susan R. Milbourne has been actively involved in the meeting-planning industry for over 15 years. She produced events and managed the event planning staff for one of the world’s largest travel management companies before leaving to found Lead Dog in 1997.

Carmel Rose Caporale, COO
Carmel Rose Caporale, CMP is a member and Past President of the Philadelphia Area Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (PAMPI) and has earned the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation. Carmel Rose founded Meetings & More in 1997 and then partnered with Mary Susan in 2002 to take advantage of the synergies afforded by merging the two companies.
